Spring Break Trip & Easter
We were all able to get away together as a family over spring break (something we hadn’t done since last summer) and we had a wonderful time together down in the San Diego area. It’s so beautiful down there! We enjoyed Legoland (a themepark for kids ages 4 - preteen) and Sea World (a place I had dreamed of going to since I was a little girl). We also drove into Mexico for an afternoon and played on the beach for a little while. The boys loved having Mom & Dad’s undivided attention for a few days and it was so much fun to see them enjoying themselves so much. Of course at Sea World we had to sit in the “soak zone” at every show we went to and at the dolphin show, we did indeed get drenched. We caught the boys licking themselves later on during the day…I guess the salt water was pretty tasty or something.
Legoland was a wonderful adventure for the boys and as soon as we got home, they got busy with their own legos seeing if they could make some of the creations like they saw. I loved seeing Shamu and the killer whale show. They are such beautiful creatures!
We came back from our trip and headed into Easter activities. The boys had a great time dying their eggs and finding them. We had a big egg hunt up at the church as well. The day before Easter, Jude turned 6 months. He enjoyed his first taste of cereal and has taken a real liking to it since then.
He is such a chubby little guy and stares longingly at the “real” food we eat at the table. He is growing so fast!
Levi had a cute “aha” moment the other day… We were walking home from school and got behind a young man in his 20’s who had on such baggy jeans that we kept getting a full view of his boxer shorts. The boys just couldn’t understand why in the world anyone would want to wear pants that wouldn’t stay up and showed everyone your underwear!
All of a sudden, Levi exclaimed, “Mom, I know why he’s wearing pants that keep falling down! I think when he went to the store to buy some pants they were all out of his size, so he just had to buy what was left!”
Have a great rest of your March!

P.S. I will be posting several pictures from this month in the next few days. Be sure to check back to see them.
